Sarkodie drops crisp visuals for “Non Living Thing.”
Sarkodie, last night 28th January, 2022, dropped the official music video to his standout single “Non Living thing.” This comes as the fifth official single off his his July 2021 released “No Pressure” album. The song, which features talented Nigerian singer Oxlade has been a popular fan favorite since the album’s release last year, and has gone on to garner almost 2 million plays on Spotify alone.
The Ghanaian rapper and songwriter joins artistes like Kwesi Arthur, KiDi, Juls, King Promise and others, to have a video shot by talented Ghanaian filmmaker Andy Madjitey. The very crisp visuals shot on location here in Accra sees Sarkodie all decked out in a two piece Casablanca outfit, paired with white Airforce one lows for the opening scenes.
The use of the right lighting against the various color palletes worked well to bring out the emotions of dread and sadness the song carries. Both Sarkodie and Oxlade’s performance are enough to get one fully immersed in the song, at a point feeling like you were also standing in the middle of the road screaming “I’m a non living thing” at the top of your lungs.
The whole theme of the video looks rich but minimal at the same time, which is an almost impossible thing to do. Good storyline; although generic, good props, good model casting and great pictures in all. We can’t be mad it took 7 months to deliver this good body of work, kudos to everyone who put this video together. You can watch it on YouTube now.
