BREAKING NEWS – Black Sherif is being taken to court by alleged ‘investor.’

It appears the woes of the ‘Kwaku the traveller’ hit maker keeps worsening. It can be recalled that Black Sherif and his alleged ‘investor’ dominated the news over a ‘contract misunderstanding,’ which later according to sources close to the parties, had been resolved. Fast forward several weeks to now, the alleged ‘investor’ – Chavis Consult has moved to sue Black Sherif for a breach of contract.

An injunction has also been acquired by a High Court to restrain him from performing at events as well as receiving revenue from his streams amongst other things, during the entire time the hearing of the suit goes on. But according to the law, dor the injunction to take full effect, the court has to hear both arguments first, and the date set for that is 9th May, 2022. Until that time, Black Sherif and his team have time to file an affidavit in opposition of the injunction.

Also, It is only when the court convenes that a definite decision can be made, so in the meantime, the court would appoint a ‘receiver’ to take the revenue made from Black Sherif’s music (streams and royalties) until after the court’s ruling.

FOURTH AVENEW is closely monitoring the situation and would bring you news as it unfolds.
