INTRODUCING: Queen Drie on a journey of self-discovery.

We present to you Queen Drie’s latest 2-track single project, ‘Nobody,’ which is an afrobeat project on self-discovery.

Imagine you’re on a white sand beach trying to catch the sunset, the consummation of sun and skies excite your skin and fill you with a familiar sensation you equate to the approval of God – warmth. Just you, golden skies, and ocean winds beckoning you to let go and be yourself. That’s exactly what Queen Drie translates into her music, the rhythmic African drums on ‘Nobody’ inspire your feet to move between the freedom of the lyrics and the weight of the sand.

This project came about as a result of a very dark period in Queen Drie’s life as she hit one of the lowest points in her 12 year battle with chronic depression all of 2021, which caused her to only release one song for the entire year! With the help of weekly therapy, Queen Drie was able to dive deeper than ever into her mind to come face-to-face with her fears and find some semblance of peace within. This new knowledge of self has spurred her on to explore parts of her artistry she had not  ventured into in the past, and has helped her realize the need to focus on her own journey and truth instead of creating generic industry music.

Some might know her as a rapper, but this new Queen Drie is not bound by genres as is evident on this project, which sees her rapping and singing with a new energy! She’s as dynamic as her star sign, a true gemini. Check out ‘Nobody,’ available on all streaming platforms now.
