The nominees for the 53rd edition of the awards were announced in a virtual event on NAACP’s Instagram channel hosted by actress Kyla Pratt, Black-ish actor Marcus Scribner and singer Tinashe. The winners will be announced during the two-hour live television special, which will be hosted by seven-time NAACP Image Awards winner Anthony Anderson, airing on Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at 8:00 PM ET/1:00 AM GMT on BET.

The NAACP Image Awards celebrates the outstanding achievements and performances of people of color across more than 80 competitive categories from film, television + streaming, music, literature, and podcasts.

Unfortunately, the category KiDi is nominated in is not open to public voting. In the meantime, we are putting all our support behind our “Golden Boy”, and wishing him well, hoping he brings the award home where it belongs.
