BREAKING: South African rapper AKA shot dead in drive-by shooting.

News reaching us at FOURTH AVENEW indicates that South African rapper AKA has been reportedly shot dead while enjoying a night out in South Africa in the evening of Friday 10th February, 2023. From a video sighted on micro-blogging site Twitter, you can see paramedics leaving what appears to be a crime scene.

Police and first respondents to the scene have since confirmed the incident. According to them, two people were shot dead, with AKA real name Kienan Forbes shot five times. The Florida Rd in Durban, where the incident took place has since been closed by law enforcement.

In the early hours of Saturday 11th February, 2023, the rapper’s family released a statement confirming the terrible news that had left everyone in shock.

This news comes as a shock since he just announced the release of his new album set to come out on the 24th February, 2023. He made a huge comeback to music last year with the two track release of ‘Lemons and Lemonade’ featuring Nasty C and ‘Paradise’ featuring Gyakie and Musa Keys.
