Sarkodie is Trending on Twitter right now. Here’s why.

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie is facing a lot of backlash on the internet right now because of a single post he made. As is the trend these days, a lot of online stores for clothes and shoes are popping up. One vendor posted an ad for an “Air Jordan 4 Retro Black Cat” selling at GHS 300, with which Sarkodie replied to with the original price of the sneaker which costs GHS 6,835, insinuating that the vendor was peddling fake goods.

This single act has put the whole of Ghana Twitter in a frenzy. Some are agreeing with the rapper by saying, if you can’t afford the original don’t buy the fake; others are also saying it depends on what one wants to use their money for, while others say Sarkodie has misplaced priorities because he himself wore fake goods in the past. The issue of buying and wearing replicas of designer goods has become a topic of discussion recently, what’s your take on it? In the meantime, check out some of the reactions we’ve gathered below.
